2 x 1-day in-company workshop (ideal 4-6 week gap between Part 1 & 2)

This workshop is split into two parts: Part One – Communicating the Difference and Part Two – Making the Difference. Action packed with the latest global management best practice and highly practical, it covers core management skills from different view points and considers how to apply these principles on a day-to-day basis. Key messages are delivered using pragmatic theoretical principles, discussion, reflection and practice. Delegates implement learning between part one and two and share successes and challenges encountered at the beginning of Part Two.

Course Overview

This highly practical workshop has been designed to further develop new or existing managers who have had limited or no formal management training.  By splitting the 2-day course in to 2 x 1-day with a 4-6 week gap in between Parts 1 & 2.  

Part One looks at ‘Communicating the Difference’ and covers the Communication side of Management and Leadership; when to lead and when to manage, how to leverage influence, understanding your team and developing them, how to communicate in different situations both verbally and written incorporating best practise email communication, setting achievable and realistic objectives, how to create a difference through managing and communicating change and use process mapping and decision making tools to be more effective.

Part Two looks at ‘Making the Difference’ and covers motivation, getting things done (delegation and effective feedback), having good and difficult conversations, the manager as a coach, and building brilliant teams working through team challenges and communicating beyond our differences.
